If you are planning to move to Saudi Arabia, you may need to have your Australian qualifications notarised by a notary public, authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Australia and then attested by the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Canberra, Australia.
However, please note that Australian education documents and certificates require an extra step of legalisation before they are attested by the Saudi Arabian Embassy. That is, the Saudi Arabian Embassy will not attest education documents until they have been first stamped by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Office. Before the Saudi Arabian Cultural Office will agree to stamp the documents, they may first ask for proof of employment, such as a fully signed and dated employment contract.
You should also note that the Saudi Arabian Immigration Office may wish to keep your original attested documents, so it is a good idea to attest a second set as you are likely to need this for other purposes in Saudi Arabia.
Australian Notary Services provides end-to-end services for full document legalisation for use in Saudi Arabia. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how we can help.
